My Boxing OC: Veronica Eagle

Veronica grew up in a city that was tough, hard, and unforgiving. While she wasn't raised to be a punk, she definitely set off that vibe. She constantly has this aura about he that gives you the impression that she will kick your ass seven ways to Sunday. Veronica is silent when she isn't angry, however. Veronica doesn't say much other than the occasional greeting. She doesn't like to talk to people that much. However, Veronica doesn't truly hurt people until her anger management problems kick in.

Due to an abusive father, both verbally and physically (She gained a scar from her dad putting a knife to her throat in an attempt to kill her) it's caused Veronica to enter fits of rage that could effect everyone she comes in contact in with. Around the age of 15 she began to take it out on other people. When she's angry, she ends up just forgetting about mercy (for the most part) and just wants to pummel someone into the ground. And, it's also around this time she took up an interest in boxing. It struck a chord with her, because of her anger management issues, allowing her to take it out on someone without making it look like she's just pure evil. Veronica's got a rather dry sense of humor, often not being funny for the sake of being funny and her humor mostly stems from dark humor and inappropriate comments, such as, for example, before fighting a girl, her opponent explained that she got a tattoo on her ass because her boyfriend lasted longer than her. Her simple response was "Oh shit, you gotta step it up!"

Veronica takes boxing seriously. The brunette trains for hours a day. She read about ways to improve her body, she constantly practiced, and eventually she began to spar often. She entered into an underground fighting ring when she was 20, and ever since then she's been fighting. And within the three years, she's grown even more to becoming a fierce fighter capable of taking on some serious threats.

Veronica specifically has extreme speed. Her prime asset is speed, being able to bob, weave, parry, block, and dodge nearly any set of blows thrown at her. Even if she attacks before hand and the opponent gets a counter in. Another notable thing about Veronica is her power. While not able to knock foes out with one punch, she can definitely throw powerful strikes at her opponent and hit cleanly with great power. Stamina and Finesse are both also strong parts of Veronica's skillset. Veronica can go many rounds thanks to her speed and due to her decently high stamina, she can move around the ring easily and almost effortlessly for the first 5 rounds at most. But after that her body begins to take a toll on her and she'll slow down. Finesse or her skill is great as well. She trained for a long time; half a decade to be precise, and due to those years of training, Veronica has the experience to tango with so many fighters.

However her biggest flaw is her defense and toughness. As ironic as it may be, Veronica cannot take blows. Despite being a slugger, she can't take as many blows as others can and often has trouble staying up if she's barraged. Specifically, if she's trapped in a corner and can't escape. If she's trapped, while she can bob and weave around, she can't get out unless she forcefully pushes her opponent out or gets a lucky hit. Both of which barely end up happening most of the time. And she has trouble with her defense in that her opponents often find holes in her defense and abuse that to get free hits in that cause Veronica's toughness to come into play, which is already alright at best.
